Creature Feature




A creature that I've been working on. The concept is by my good friend Daniel Burgos. I made the basemesh from zspheres then took it into XSI for the fingers. Going to retopologize now and finish it up.

Render Tests

Here's the final presentation of the cyborg. It was a lot of fun to work on and I also learned alot. First time using custom shaders as well. I still need to tweak the cyborg shader a bit to dirty it up. Also, got a great crit about lighting from a friend, gonna play with them a bit.

Cyborg Damage

Small Update

Here's a little more progress on the penguin. Messed with the shape a bit more after some awesome critiques. Can't wait to start putting the details on him. BUT! Putting this guy on hold for the moment, friend needs help with a character for his reel. Cyborg incoming!

Victory!

Today I retopologized a head made from a sphere to a mesh with edge loops and projected the details to the new "clean" mesh. Subtool projection for the win :)

Armor Update

Here's an update on Myscete. Went with skeleton armor made up of large creatures of his world. I called his planet Mere, after the french word for mother and named his people Zivilis, kind of hinting at their civilized nature. Also came up with a story for his expression.

Body ready for mudbox

Here's the hands and feet. The hands come into play with his weapons which he swings around but can also curl up to hold them firm. Gave him amphibious feet so that he could also walk on ground.
