Thai Fighter

Here's a character that I'm working on. Original concept by Khang Le (http://khangle.net/). Got the low blocking meshes in, going to go into detail now. Thanks for all the comments guys, really appreciate it :).

sup Nelson is looking great man.. but before you go into the detail. work on his proportions a bit more they seem to be bit off man, i think its because you're truly following the refs pic pixel by pixel..lol...Well yeah work on that and it should look even better than what it already is.. aiiight.

I can see the finished product already! I can't wait to see it with the base sculpt. I agree with Eric; some of the proportions are off. The belt is too low. On the concept, it's right on his belly button, while in the model, it's sitting on his waist, as if too loose. Once you bring the belt and the sash up, you'll notice the knees are too low. You might as well bring everything between the belt and the shin up a bit. Also, the base of the hip where the legs begin is a bit wide. Try maybe brining the top of the legs in a bit so that they create a much shallower triangle. Hope this helps :)

What a cool character to bring into the third dimension! Looks like a warrior from LOTR, nice choice. I agree on proportions. The belt does need to come up a tad but not the legs as a whole, they would appear too short then. Its just his legs below the kneecap that needs to come down and the knee up a bit too. Nice base to start Nelson, can't wait to see updates on this one!
